The Road Home

The road leading back home after a peaceful vacation can be full of surprises and can cause a few tears, naturally... The head full of splendid and stimulating memories helps keeping the wheel positively straight while bringing to the surface bouts of nostalgia, inevitably, like a nice sweet and sour dish. And boy did we need to keep our eyes and patience up during or trip back, especially after 2,200Km and 4 long hours spent waiting in a huge traffic jam in small Switzerland (does this sentence betray the slightest hint of frustration? Well...).

The most important thing is: we made it and even though the head is fuzzy, ideas don't flow smoothly and the fridge sends back the echo of our hunger, things are getting organized again, slowly. After three long weeks in the clouds, with feet in the water, fingers in the sand and head in the sun, as far away from organizational matters and concerns as possible, it is funny to notice that our head (but certainly not our heart) may even be striving for some order and reassuring routine - I cannot believe I am saying this, folks.

Basic things first then: let's roll (arggggh, actually, drive again) to the magic world of the round-the-corner supermarket! Back to reality and civilization.
